Overview
This Mexican made Telecaster is finished in Silver. The Blacktop Series was introduced in 2010 and lasted as a stand alone model until 2014 when it was absorbed into the Standard Series. The main feature of the series were the Black Skirted Amp knobs on the reversed control plate. Fender have confirmed that the guitar was made in January 2011. Weighing in at: 8lb 1.2oz or 3.662kg. Condition The guitar is in excellent with only minimal playing wear to both the body and the neck. There are some playing marks on the pickguard but here are no large scratches, cracks, dents or dings to the body. There is some very minor tarnishing to the chrome hardware (pickup covers, control plate etc). The neck, fingerboard and frets show only the very slightest of playing wear. You will be hard pressed to find a Blacktop Telecaster on the used market in better overall condition. Modifications The only modifications made to the guitar, is that the strap buttons have been changed.
