August 2025 Shipments to the USA
29th Aug: Shipping to the USA is suspended due to withdrawl of the "de minimis" waiver and lack of clarity on the process for collection of customs, fee, import duties, taxes and tariffs. 29th Aug: From this date the US Government has revoked the "de minimis" waiver that allowed packages into the US valued at $800 or less to be exempt from customs charges, customs charges, import duties, taxes or tariffs maybe raider on the value of you package prior to delivery, There extra charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in either the selling price or shipping costs. 7th Aug: Shipments into the USA are now subject to tariffs imposed by the US Government. The Tariff level is set to the country of manufacture and NOT the country the parcel ships from (if the two are different). For Example: A package ships from the UK where the tariff level is 10% but was manufactured in Japan where the tariff level is 15%. The 15% tariff will be the level charged. December 2024 Shipments to the EU & Northern Ireland 13th Dec: As of Friday 13th December 2024 we will sadly have to pause sales into EU countries and Northern Ireland. This is due to the introduction of new EU GPSR (General Product Safety Regulations). These rules are complex and the main stumbling block is that from Dec 13th, businesses selling commercial / consumer goods into these countries, including NI, will need to appoint an agent who resides in the EU, this person would be able to confirm that the goods are safe to be sent into the EU &NI. |
