Shipments to the USA
A 10% global tariff applies to most UK imports under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which was implemented after the US Supreme Court ruled the previous IEEPA-based reciprocal tariffs illegal in February 2026. This Section 122 tariff is temporary and set to expire on 24 July 2026, unless extended by Congress or renewed by the President. The De Minimis $800 duty-free threshold for low-value shipments was removed in August 2025, meaning all parcels now face customs duties and tariffs on top of the sales price and shipping. All of these are the buyers responsibility. December 2024 Shipments to the EU & Northern Ireland 13th Dec: The introduction of new EU GPSR (General Product Safety Regulations). These rules are complex and the main stumbling block is that from Dec 13th, businesses selling commercial / consumer goods into these countries, including NI, will need to appoint an agent who resides in the EU, this person would be able to confirm that the goods are safe to be sent into the EU & NI. Any guitars shipped without GPSR compliance are at the buyers risk.
